Atoms, seeds and juices
If I ask a neighbour where they are from, it is likely they will tell me their house number. If I ask a stranger where they are from they might tell me where they were born and then tell me where they live now. A Scotsman might tell you his clan. If I ask a US citizen where they are from they might say they are half Irish, a quarter Scot and a little Italian on their mother's side. The answer to that question 'where are your from' is, for some, simply about location and for others it is about identity.
Whichever way we choose to identify ourselves when asked that 'small talk' question, the fact is that we all have the same origins. We are made from the earth, mixed with a little stardust and mist that is ignited into existence with a spark of energy.
