These days, we visit cities on weekend breaks just like people used to collect cigarette cards! Vienna - tick, Delhi - tick, Barcelona - tick. When we pass through places so fleetingly, we are left with snapshot memories of the weather, the style of buildings, restaurants and the transit systems. What we seldom get to know is the nature of the people, their culture, the poorer quarters and how people earn a living. We only see the tourist perspective, the museums, famous buildings and trip advisor highlights. This work is about shallow city tours in which each day brings a new place, another rushed lunch, another small hotel and another train.
