The Japanese bridge - Hoi An

Sold
Landscape
This temple bridge is the landmark image of the World Heritage town of Hoi An, Vietnam. It spans a rivulet between the old trading quarters of China and Japan and was constructed as a symbol of concord. It is said that a giant monster catfish hides beneath it, with its head in India and its tail in Japan, If it wiggles its tail, earthquakes occur in Japan. The story is written in the script on the painting. The original is sold but high quality giclée prints are available to order
