In the valley that runs from Sapa to Ta Van are dozens of these traditional Farm houses with a cow shed in front and a garden of water hyacinth, maize, pumpkins, some rice beds, plum and apple trees, skinny chickens and little black pigs. The mountains behind are the very tail end of the Himalaya that peters out as it enters China, just a few kilometers away.
